I just came across the Learn NC site from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Education.

It is a very nice mix of teacher resource combined with an umbrella of organization. All the while it maintains a feeling of community engagement. This is exactly the type of thing that I would like to see St. John’s University develop. It could be a unified effort with teachers working with field experts (various departments) to develop new lesson plans, learning materials, and local field trips.
